Not every Florida home is a perfect rooftop candidate — tile complexity, shading, HOA limits, or a desire for covered parking can push the design toward a ground mount or solar carport.
PowerSol USA is a Tampa-based, BBB A+ installer. We are battery-first (the battery’s hybrid inverter runs the home; solar is the charger) and we design full-home backup for Florida storms when that is the goal. Carports and ground mounts are another tool in that toolkit.

Carport vs ground mount vs roof — honest tradeoffs
Carport: shade + parking + power; higher structural cost; great for gathering space.
Ground mount: often best production geometry; needs land and setbacks.
Roof: usually lowest soft-cost path when the roof cooperates.

Residential §25D is generally unavailable for new homeowner systems placed in service after December 31, 2025.
